Dark Holler
Dark Holler, of Austin, Texas, mixes old-time country and bluegrass music with shades of blues, folk, western swing, Appalachian string band music, and gospel standards. Tight harmonies drive the band's melodic arrangements of traditional and original songs.
Digital Tradition WWW Server (DigiTrad)
In October 1993, Steve Putz created a World-Wide Web Server (on pubweb.parc.xerox.com) that allows users with an Internet connection to search for and display songs interactively using any of the readily available WWW browsers. The Web server can even provide audio of the song tunes for some systems.

Note: this elegant database contains a wealth of Old-Time tunes and lyrics.

Document Records
Document offers a vast selection of Old-Time and Country Blues releases. The sound quality isn't great, but Document is dedicated to offering complete collections of recordings, many of which are unavailable anywhere else. Check out www.document-records.com.
Down Home Music
Down Home Music Store has been serving the San Francisco bay area for over 22 years with an extensive selection of roots music from the U.S. and around the globe. They began as an spin-off of Arhoolie Records in 1976 as owner Chris Strachwitz saw the need to serve the community directly with a storefront. Popularity of the compact disc, demand for world music, and it's growing availability has fueled Down Home's expansion to over 24,000 selections at present, yet never failing to keep pace with the re-issue of traditional American roots music. We carry a large selection of new and used vinyl, as well as music videos, books, plus hard to find magazines. We are also the exclusive U.S. distributor for Johnny Parth's Document Records, from Austria, chronicling Old-Time music, pre-war American blues and gospel with over 600 titles at present.

Also calling our building home is Flower Films, origin of Mr. Les Blank's film creation efforts, including the acclaimed "Sprout Wings & Fly" about legendary fiddler Tommy Jarrell.
